My Hair Today: Coil Out

Last week Saturday I decided to put coils in my hair.  I started with freshly washed hair. Moisturized with the Kimmaytube leave-in mix of Giovanni Direct leave-in, castor oil, jojoba oil, and aloe vera juice. Separated my hair in four sections and used Eco syler olive oil gel to coil my hair.  I wore it like this for a week.

Today I decided to separate the coils.  I separated them about 3 to 4 times for a coil out.  I slicked the front back with a little Eco styler gel and added a headband and "voila" this is what it looked like.

Zumba Valentine's Blast

Zumba® with Heather held the Zumba® Valentine's Blast on Saturday, February 12th. Everyone was asked to where red tops for Valentine's day and also in awareness of the fight against heart disease.  The turn out was pretty good and everyone came out to dance and have fun for a good cause.

Office Obsession: Denman Scented Hairbrushes

I was surfing the net when I ran into this article.  I have a regular denman brush. However, after reading this, I think I may want to try a scented denman brush.

Who doesn't want hair that smells fresh as a daisy? We all do, but let's be honest... on the third or fourth day of a blowout, our tresses can smell less-than-fresh. Thank heaven for Denman, the cult-favorite hair company that just launched a collection of scented hair brushes!

The versatile styling brushes come in almost-edible scents like tropical coconut, strawberry, grape and lemon that leave your strands smelling subtly sweet, but not overpowering. Adorable.
